New Shimano Rods (Poison Ultima & Glorious)

Post by maxpowers » Thu Jan 28, 2016 12:38 pm

Shimano just updated their Japanese websites, the new rods seem to be listed:

Ultima, we're getting a 610M and a 264/66SUL-S.

Glorious, they redid the look, and it looks like we lost a few rods like the wolfdexter (which is one of my fav rods in the series), and a few new ones were added as far as I can see

I need a second job. With this much new gear that Shimano is putting out this year, there is no way on this planet that I'm gonna get everything I want within a reasonable timeframe.

Max, got to handle yesterday. It's a beauty! Thank you! :D

I like the previous PG design better... but I guess they didn't want to out flash the Ultima so they toned down the foregrip.

I'm eyeing the new 66L+BFS "cover trap" model for sure.

I'm liking the new design on the glorious as the older models were pretty heavy. But, now that they look more like the Ultima and share a pretty close price, it almost seems a bit unnecessary.

Either way, I'm way more excited for 2016 shimano/jackall rods then mb...

Agreed on the price and look. I'm excited for the series as I'm in search of a BFS stick and there are a few worthy options here.

I actually really liked the design of the old PG rods..... Curious how these stack up side by side

Issue is it's a RF action, Teal wants a F action, so don't think that rod will work.
