Steez SV drag star looks old

Post by trent_s » Sun Mar 27, 2016 1:43 pm

Did anyone else's new Steez SV come with a drag star look old and faded? I think it's Zaion, but either way mine looks glazed/hazed over and really old. Do they all look this way?

unpainted zaion looks bad. if i ever get a reel that comes with a zaion star drag, it'd be the first thing i change. The look and feel of these is just meh.

I love the look of the zaion stars and mx reels, different strokes ...
The 'raw' matte drag star on the T3 Mago is however a real thing of beauty

I'm with you. I love the look of the raw Zaion, at least on the reel frame. Not that big a fan of the drag stars unless it is paired with a silver framed reel. The OG Zillion Type R star is still easily my favorite.

Thats the way Zion looks. I love it personally. Put one on my 100HA, rather than the ones available from HH.

If you've got a good looking one from HH I'll trade you in a heartbeat

Same here, i replaced the star drag that came with my Steez 105XH with the Zion one and it looks better.

Same here, I like them, as well. I have 3 SS SV that I put the Zaion stars on. They are an improvement over those stock stars imho.

Plastic is plastic. Metal looks better imo. I like the Steez EX drag star, and even better Hedgehog has it in various colors for like 10 dollars more than the Zaion. The Zillion Type R star is really nice as well.

The zillion type r drag star looks cool but it must weigh 3x more than the zaion star. Not an issue on a zillion, but another story on a Steez.
