Majorcraft Corzza
Majorcraft Corzza
Im thinking of picking up a 6'5" ML Corzza for throwing inline spinners, small topwaters/cranks and shakyhead. Anyone can give a review of these rods, or something similar in the majorcraft lineup? also, how do they compare to tatula and zodias in terms of weight and sensitivity?

Re: Majorcraft Corzza
I have one of these rods, but it is 702H (10-42 gr). Use it with big minows, 110-130 mm, and i like how it work with PE line and fluo. Rod is regular-fast action, and nice jerk with copies of Rudra, Balisong, Pointer etc. Minimum comfortable lure weight 12-13 gr, i think. Paired with CI4+ 151 HG and we obtain pretty nice combo. If we talking about compare Corrza with Zodias, unfortunately, i don't have H-powered Shimano, but 1610M-2 is my second casting rod. Appearance and tactile sensations better for Zodias, eva handle more practical than cork for Major Craft. I have a small review of my CZC-702H, but sorry - no english subtitles: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tsGXgpjHG4

I have the ms-x 65ML. It has no problem pitching/casting down to an eighth. I mostly use mine for shakey heads and wacky worms, but it's great for spybaits and small cranks/poppers, too. It's lighter and more sensitive than the volkey, which is closer to the corzza, I think, but the volkey's still a nice rod.

I have a CZC-692M 2 piece I bought for a travel rod which spends most of its time on the dock. I throw mostly Pop R's with it and like it very much.
Re: Majorcraft Corzza
Would you guys say that the majorcraft rods are fairly balanced or tip heavy?

Glad you like it! All the Major Craft rods I've owned are pretty well balanced.BigG wrote:I have a CZC-692M 2 piece I bought for a travel rod which spends most of its time on the dock. I throw mostly Pop R's with it and like it very much.

I think it depends on length of rod. My Corzza 7'0 balanced well, but i had Arrival Overseven 8'6" MH and it be with heavy tip. BUT, i cant say that it uncomfortable.bigturtle wrote:Would you guys say that the majorcraft rods are fairly balanced or tip heavy?

That ms-x 65ml couldn't be better balanced. The balance point is somewhere near the center of the reel, and that's with a 5.7 oz ss sv. The whole combo weighs less than my td Luna.

I have a 6'5 ml corzza 2 piece! It's a great rod and light!! I was surprised at how cheap it was and how much you get out of it! I put my Tdz ize limited on it, weighing around 5.9 oz and the balance point is like right around the top of the reel, but to me it's pretty well balance rod for like 130...!! But I use this rod for small cranks and plastics, it works great and is pretty strong! Definitely worth the price!! The 2 piece rod only ships around like 15 bucks from plat
