X7 Super Eiger for a lighter duty rod
F4-611X7 Super Elseil for a standard length do everything medium / medium heavy rod
Phase III Bearing Down for a standard length jig rod

Phase III Nautilus for a longer do everything MH rod. Best casting rod by far I have ever used, loads up and casts like magic, even skips great despite being a long rod, super light for its length, super sensitive, great for hook sets and keeping fish hooked. My favorite rod to use for any single hook bait, bottom contact or moving. A total joy to fish with.

This post has been a great tool for myself , i have picked up quite a few of the rods mentioned by so many different people who were kind enough to take the time to give thier input on this subject. This post has influenced nearly every megabass rod purchase i have made since i started it. I habe yet to give every rod i habe aquired the full attention yet. I will take the time to fish them all and list my absolute favorites soon.

After adding and subtracting a few rods my list wouldn't change much. I'd add the F8-78DG as a sweet swimbait stick and the X7 Super Eiger for a do all bfs stick that has some serious backbone for its rating. The slant bridge Jabberwock is also a favorite of mine for squarebills now. The BJ Punch & Swim is a wild punching rod and definitely better suited to punch 1/2+ in deep cover than the XX Amart I used before for such duties.
I like TD-Z's

i dont have much experience with older MB to say what is a must have but out of about 10 or so MB rods ive fished, the X4 Destruction (all 15 mins i had with it), Hein, FMJ and Daemos stand out.

tempted to grab a XX PP on sale for dedicated frogging and a Javelin at some point

Glad you mentioned the FMJ and Daemos. I was wondering if some people would add some '17 Destroyers to this list now that they have been out for a little while. I too am contemplating the Javelin as my next rod. If it is indeed similar to the Phase 3 Nautilus it should be an outstanding stick.

Grab that pp while you can it is an amazing frog rod. Every time I lay into one a big smile appears on my face. You will not regret it.

I picked out about 4 MB rods to sell last week, all of which are listed. So I saw this thread this morning and read the latest post, then decided to go thru the whole thread. I ain't selling nothin. I got to feeling like I felt when I adding this rods to my rods and I need more not less.

Lot of great info on some older Megabass goodies in this thread.. a lot of which has influenced quite a few of my rod purchases.

But of the newer stuff I have, and I believe that these are must haves for me, each with that Megabass "it" factor are:

2017 USA Destroyer - FMJ & Javelin
2016 JDM Destroyer - Hein
2016 Black Jungle - Shallow Fast Moving Special
