Anybody use this service successfully? Just tried calling for the first time. It went to voice mail and then the mailbox was full

Used it several years ago. Broke a BCR803, used the service and had a new one within 2 or 3 days.

Are you sure that you used the right #? If so, I'd call the general # at Gloomis/Shimano and a get a person.

I have used it multiple times for various issues and never had a problem. Very convenient as long as they have your rod in stock and it is still available.

Yeah, I finally got through this morning. I guess I called at the wrong time yesterday.

Customer Service rep was very friendly and helpful. My particular rod is out of stock but they will ship a replacement as soon as it gets back in stock. Very smooth process. =D>

Has anyone tried swapping models for either a rod of the same price or a lower priced rod? E.g., swapping a NRX 894C for a NRX 854C?

I swapped a NRX 802S for a NRX 842S but I had a wildcard so I only had to pay the difference in the cost of the rods and shipping cost for the rods.

Used them yesterday 7/23/2016 for a broken GLX 854c, they are out of many rods due to the new rods coming out. I was able to upgrade for 85 to the NRX rod of my choice plus the expediter fee.
