Ominous email from Samurai Tackle
Did anyone get an email from Samurai saying the yen is going to go up and that the nice low prices we've been seeing are going to go away? I know the yen has been creeping back up but maybe it's going to go back to the 2011 days. They urge that if you were on the fence about making a jdm purchase to go ahead and buy. Could be a sales tactic but I think they are right.

Ya, I got the same email. Sounds like part truth part sales tactic.

Sounds like someone should be playing the currency markets if they're so confident in a move one way or another!

Dollar down to 98.78, seems like the horses are already out of the barn for me.

It's no gimmick. Interest rates are about to rise in correlation to expanding inflation. Of which, is total US Dollars in circulation. Translation; Gov is about to start printing more money than they have been, which means more in circulation per capita, hence higher interest to recoup, greater quantity in relation to other world currency such as Yen. That means it costs us more Dollars to do the same exchange. It is coming.

I heard that Japan lowered the yen a few years ago to stimulate the economy, I guess the economy turned around, good for Japan, bad for us

I remember when it was 120 yen to the dollar... i was buying crap left and right just because lol... that extra 20 yen makes a big difference..Teal101 wrote:It's been coming...Yens already creeped up on the dollar since this time lat year. We've been dealing with a shitty dollar for quite some time now....been holding back on many purchases, doesn't seem like it's going to change anytime soon.tditox4 wrote:The purchasing power of the Canadian dollar =

Sounds like a few people on here should be playing in the FX market

We do...it just happens to trade in the form of tackle. I think the tackle junkies follow the yen closer than anyone else.saoulons wrote:Sounds like a few people on here should be playing in the FX market

I never cared about the yen ever, until I started buying JDM. Now I care a lot about the world economy.Tokugawa wrote:We do...it just happens to trade in the form of tackle.
