I have sellers remorse for selling my z200 and z2020.

I'm happy to see that this one is back but I wish it was also available in the 6.4:1 ratio.

I used my Z's mostly for larger moving baits ... that's where I found they shined. The 6 gear was 30" IPT which I found very versatile. The 7 gear is 34" IPT which might be little too fast for my previous uses.

I kept mine, glad to see them bring back this awesome beast. Wish they would add a 5.3:1 gear ratio.

From what I have gathered, apart from what you have pointed out:
- different paint job. Matte black?
- different cc knob
- higher max drag (6kg cf. 5.5kg in the discountinued Z2020SH)

I like the new paint job, but dislike the gear ratio and price. Lucky I still have my old Z2020H.

That is a stunning reel! My OG Z2020 rides an SRD for swim baits and other big stuff...but I may require another Z after seeing this.

My fave translation is about the level wind..."easy street nut of chubby". Yup. Sums it up.

Agreed, maybe they could polish it and strengthen the finish. I remember someone polished theirs and it ended up with a shiny chrome look.
I believe with the right modified parts and drilling this reel could be lightened by around an ounce.

That was Van, I remember his pics....came out looking spectacular. Wonder what he used to polish it, I don't recall...might be able to search function it....haven't seen him in a loooong time either here,hope he is alright...
