Choice between Ryoga 1016HL / Z2020SHL / HRF PE

Ryoga 1016HL / Z2020SHL / HRF PE

I am in a rather desperate situation to choose between these reels for my swimbaits with braid. (I still can't get to terms with Fluorocarbon, and I can use my Antares with deep-spool for neilon.)
I like it that they are designed specially for PE (less dig-in), and I also like the clicking line brake.

But what is the casting performance between them? How smooth are they in comparison?
According to tackletour review Z2020SHL is on the bulkier side of of it, and not low-profile-like palmable for intense jesticulation with rod-reel combo. Other than that the reviews/feedbacks seem to suggest it to be the leader among these.

Thanks!

With the new limited Z2020 on the cards, simple choice
May have to play around with different gear ratios

So you seem to suggest that Z2020 is a tier above the "competition"?

Regarding retrieve ratios for swimbaits my impression has been that faster is better as long as the gears can stand it. Just mount a longer handle, if needed. And with a fast speed reel + handle it is easy to transfer the needed impulse to a swimbait.

The Z is the reel I regret selling the most, luckily I can sort that out now.
Followed closely by a Lin 10 anniversary
The 3D braking is an added bonus

I use my 1016 (not the High gear one) for swimbaits and musky. The reel is as smooth as i've ever tried (on par with OG zillions) and the 1016 spool bombs to the other side of the lake. With a 90mm carbon handle and ceramic BB's its an outstanding reel but you may need to get used to it because of the sharp'ish edges of the reel (both side plates). The smaller spool inside the 1016 works well with braid. If you'll be using mono/fluoro, z2020 may be a better choice but i've never fished that reel personally.

Smoothness reel I have ever owned, love the 3D. Wish they made a Z1010.

God bless you guys!
You have put my soul to ease.

Before I embark on Google-translation with all it's inherent risks of misunderstandings, is there any hard info on any technical differences between the old model and the new one?

Thanks!
