Right on. Keep us posted! Is this reel the same exact color as the magnesium version? Kinda wish Daiwa would have done something a little different with the paint scheme.

Anyway, to report back re: DIY inductor, no go.
Looked promising at first, though a hump where the shaft meets the spool meant the lower collar for the air brake couldn't seat low enough to catch the holes.

Link to a few other pics showing the difference in inductors and how it didn't work.

Will have a fish to see how it casts after the proper flushing.
As others have mentioned, everything else about it (fit, finish, smoothness) ticks all the boxes.

I have not had any issues with mine. Used it for pitcing on a MB Vsldiva and it was awesome.

Ended up getting the non-G1 version of the 1012 SV RCS/SLP spool.
Spool weight is about the same as the 1016 Mag-Z G1 stock spool.
Spool weight without line is about the same between the two.

Now useable over mag range of 5-10/20 with a 7g plug, no wind.
The range is more where I want it, more room in the lower end to adjust.

If going for distance, 40-45 m on 6-7/20 on the mag.
Side plate bearing is flushed. The stock bearing on the RCS spool is not.
Casts are very quiet, almost unnaturally so like the Mat MGL. Conquest a bit noisier.
Happy with it now.

I can't understand what this guy is trying to explain but by gesture, I guess it is ok with Daiwa SLP Steez SV 105 shallow spool will be just ok.

Y2k88, did you go with the purple or red spool? I am happy with mine stock, but if I can squeeze some better performance out of it, I am all for it!

I also have the Steez A paired with a 2017 Megabass Destroyer Valdiva and the reel is fantastic.

Zillion SV TW spool is excellent in several platforms, but I haven't tried it in a Steez A yet, good idea!

My favorite spool. Works awesome in so many platforms.

Hi Y2K88,

how about regular RCS 1012 Spool (Without SV), I have spare with me and It was used for the Ryoga 1016.
Can it be used for the New Steez A?

Thanks in advance,
WW

No idea, maybe someone else knows.
It should fit, though not sure how it'll perform.

The T3 1016 spool fits with no issues so should be no reason for the 1012 rcs spool not to work.
