Volkey 6'9" UL Clone
Is there a rod out there that is close to the Volkey at reasonable price?

Why settle for less for an unknown commodity and potentially be disappointed?

The volkey was a great value no doubt and Major Craft has decided to not make an ul power bait caster in that length for now. if you are looking for the length and are flexible about the action you may need to look into some inshore BFS rods.

Abu salty Stage kr x ULT or ULS
Re: Volkey 6'9" UL Clone
I've often wondered this myself. My canidate would be the 7'2'' L Kuying Leadership because has a taper identical to the 65UL Volkey. It's like a long Volkey 65UL two piece for $100.

bamp. We need to know what is the poor mans Volkey 69XUL. A plain old 65UL is getting hard to source. I had to shoot another member a pm to buy my 65UL.

I have been curious about the Hyuga line from MB. Several lighter models grab my interest there. You may want check that line out, one and two piece models with regular, fast and med/fast tapers depending if it is one or the two piece models.

Look a Abu decider 6'7. Almost as long as the Volkey, gives up nothing in distance and noticeably better in accuracy and precision.
Re: Volkey 6'9" UL Clone
How do the tapers of the 69XUL and 65UL compare?
