Yeah, the non G1 verson 1012 gets a little radical in OG Steez platforms

Don't see any difference, looks exactly the same besides SLP name.
Stock spool weighs 12 grams. Slp version weighs only 9. I also changed my mind. Using the SLP 1012 in my Steez SV TW, I can see an obvious increase in performance, especially with finesse baits. Better distance with same ease and control. The colored Slp 1012 also weighs 12 grams, the G1 1012 weighs only 9. The induct on the colored Slp 1012 is just a slight hair smaller than the stock Steez SV TW 1016. I now use that spool on my Steez SV103. Another perfect pairing as it is not as rest as the stock spool, yet does not get wild until the brake dial hits 3 or lower.
Do you count a bearing and a pin weight in the weight you mentioned? According my notes when I scales brand new spools I bought, SLP 1012SV weights 11.9g, without a bearing and pin, with a bearing and pin 13.5g

Steez SV TW 1016 G1 stock spool - 11.4g with a bearing and pin.

I found the spool you are talking about.

Do you know what would be the difference between that one (SLP 1012SV G1 and that one (SLP G1 Steez SV 105) ? Line capacity is identical on both.

I have the dimple sv103 and sv105 spools, the inductors are longer than the new slp 1012 g1, about the same as stock steez tws 1016sv. As for steez tws sv1016 vs zillion tws sv1016, zillion spool has shorter inductor and is not ported.

It says the same thing about that new G1 1016 too. The inductor looks shorter on the 1012 than 1016.
I wonder if it would play nice in an sv103 reel? Or a TD-Z?

I've used the 1012 in my Tdz. It works quite well :big grin:
