Megabass Hedgehog Evoluzion

recently i was lucky enough to get my hands on a 2015 model Megabass Hedgehog Evoluzion. any recommendations on which reels pair great with this rod? Thanks

Congrats, that's a Lucky find, love that rod! I have a 2016 Shimano Vanquish C3000XG on mine and its amazing. I think the vanquish weighs in at only 6.5oz, magnesium body, and smooth as silk with the micromodule gearing.

Other reels that could work well:

Shimano stella 2500, C3000XG

Daiwa exist 2510

That rod deserves a nice reel, any of the above 3 are all solid contenders for a rod of that caliber.

I like a bunch of reels on it. My favorites are Certate 1003, Vanquish 2500, and Daiwa ss700. I use 20lb braid with a 7lb Sunline sniper leader. You really want something with a very smooth drag to really maximize the benefits of that stinger tip.

Congrats! If you are going pure FC, an Ignis type-r 2505 is a good call too.
