CV-Z Spool Options
CV-Z Spool Options
I have a CV-Z 103 that I plan to swap the gears out to the Pixy 6.8.
My questions:
1) What pinion shaft do I need?
2) What are all of my spool options with the 6.8 gears in?
TIA

Re: CV-Z Spool Options
You can use the stock pinion shaft if using the stock spool and aftermarket CV-Z options.
Otherwise, swapping out the shaft to that of a TDZ/Steez will open you to the whole gamut of Steez/TDZ spool options.

Thank you for the response.
I'm assuming when it comes to the Steez options it pertains to the previous 103HA models? Or would any Steez prior to the TWS models work?

The previous in 100/103 Steez, Steez HLC, the new ZPI and ZPI TDZ (RC001/002, PG) spool options, TDZ spools if they are 103/105, IS spools and the variants (Honeycomb and IS finesse), T3 1010/1012/1016, SV spools (103/105, 1000 deep and shallow), and the TWS 1016 variants (TWS Steez, TWS Zillion, 1012/1016)SB_NEWBIE wrote:igl00jx wrote:You can use the stock pinion shaft if using the stock spool and aftermarket CV-Z options.

Re: CV-Z Spool Options
My I'ze Light has the PX68 gear and I love the SV105 in it.
For finesse the Megabass IS finesse spool is great.
