Daiwa Steez LTD SV 103 TN Question

Hi guys. Does anyone have or seen the Daiwa TN version that has "T.Namiki" signature on the handle?

My friend, a long time so-called Daiwa aficionado said there is no such thing. Personally, I have seen them multiple times up for sale on japan auctions and almost bought one, but didn't because I already had two non signature series. My friend thinks its a figment of my imagination, LOL. I tried googling it and other search engine methods, but I cant seem to find a pic of one.

Please tell me im not seeing things, LOl

Ones I've seen has just been a print of T. Namiki Limited on the handle side plate, and Bass or Die on the knobs.

The new Steez has the Bass or Die on the handle (not the knob)

I have never seen a Steez LTD TN with Tosh name on the handle. They all say "Bass or Die" on the knobs.....

The ones I saw had "T.Namiki" screen printed on the actual handle going half the length almost near the nut retainer. The handle is one solid piece no slits/cut outs on the handle, and i believe its a 85-90mm and not an 80mm. And the description from the Japanese sellers was " exhibition of T. Namiki signature series on handle". I seen 2-3 on japan auctions about 6 months ago.

So....two signatures on the reel unit; one on the body and one on the handle, and of course the bass or die on the knobs.

Yeah the new 2018 Light TN coming out in march has "bass or die" on the handle. I have two on preorder. Im kinda surprised no one here yet has seen one. Maybe Im just seeing things.LOL

Could be the ones you saw had a non-factory modification, maybe Toshi had that done himself or perhaps the person who had them originally really liked him....

Im no Daiwa expert (reason why Im here asking) but that's totally possible a few people had his name screen printed on the handle.

Thanks for your replies, guys.

I have seen them and a friend actually owned one . Those handles were signed by Toshi himself at the osaka
fishing show and then given awaywith the reel in a lottery draw.
Some of the winners sold them on online auctions.

That's a plausible explanation =D>

That's exactly it.
I've bid on one on an auction site when I needed to replace my peeling bass or die knobs.
