Re: Megabass Rhodium reel?
It's tatula based, just not sure why 6+1, the regular Tatula CT is 7+1...

Maybe they replaced a bearing with a Concept Z bushing...

Re: Megabass Rhodium reel?
They pulled two bearings out of the T3 1016 when they did the FX, unless they based those on the MX which I havent seen any info to support that.cndbasshunter wrote:It's tatula based, just not sure why 6+1, the regular Tatula CT is 7+1...

Haha, maybe it will cast over 9000 yards now.
If it is 6+1, I would assume that: 3 on spool/pinion, 2 on mainshaft, 1 on roller. where the extra ONE is confuses me, most tatula variants have all that mentioned then 2 knob bearings... The odd number confuses me, because the key location spots for a Tatula (minus knob bearings) should always yield 5+1.
The new Curado K has all of the prime spots filled, 4 pinion/spool, 2 mainshaft, 1 roller bearing. So unless there is a levelwind added and both knob bearings removed, this is a very weird count of 6+1...

No handle knob bearings? Maybe it is designed for saltwater.

That sounds plausible, could be.Sore Thumb wrote:No handle knob bearings? Maybe it is designed for saltwater.

Is the Rhodium an SV?

The spool appears to be an SV spool based on spool depth.

That inspired Ito look and style !
MB jumped the shark at the Lauda stage. Special colors later don't make up for Tat quality.

I'm not comparing the Rhodium to other past MB/Daiwa reels, but since when did the Tatula have quality issues?Mike and Pike wrote:That inspired Ito look and style !

Re: Megabass Rhodium reel?
Tatulas can be inconsistent in quality. I have two and one has a bad handle bearing and the level wind pawl screeches while the other is fine. They are both smooth but my CT SV is very noisy compared to my Tat100 Type R.Finnz922 wrote:I'm not comparing the Rhodium to other past MB/Daiwa reels, but since when did the Tatula have quality issues?Mike and Pike wrote:That inspired Ito look and style !
