I've read somewhere saying that most of the past Adrenas over 7' usually connect at the front of the reel seat(which is where I hope it is) but I'm slightly concerned about power and durability if it does connect mid-blank like any other standard 2 piece rod. This is my first 2pc bass rod and my first Adrena so I'm slightly anxious to see how it handles fish on the water. Any replies would be helpful and appreciated!
Which model did you get? There are both handle joining 2 piece and mid blank split models in the 7ft range. You can go either way, depending on what you purchased.
I purchased the 7' 2" Heavy(172H-2)
172H blank is removable at the handle. In the lineup, it’s actually placed among the 1 piece lineup (JDM style)
172H-2 is center cut 2 piece in the traditional sense.

I think there are some new ones in the pg lineup, similar look to the handle as the Adrena series, but I think these are a semi glass composite blank

Fished mine in the pouring rain a few weeks ago. Let me tell ya, it sucked. Gonna be a fair weather rod only

Why’s that, did the “carbon monocoque” handle get slick when it got wet?

In my experience, it gets iPhone slick. Went diving for mine a few times. Once with nice one on. Landed it. I fish shallow, so was so issue to retrieve it each time.

Agreed, the new handle does get pretty slick. I had an instance in January jerkbait fishing where my hands were wet and a pike smoked my jerkbait on the pause and ran. Almost ripped the rod out of my hands even with loose drag. Now I make a mental note to dry my grip hand and/or the rod handle anytime it gets wet. That or make sure to have my other hand on the reel handle and not fish a jerkbait one handed

Grab yourself some shrink wrap. A buddy of mine did this and not only does it look good and protects carbon from scratches, but the grip is also better than eva and cork
Something like this

Nah. I'll take the blank transmission and overall sensitivity over the ability to use it in the rain. Who wants to fish in downpour anyways lol. I have plenty of other sticks. Thanks for the tip though

Which xc did you get? What is the action like?
I’m looking at the 7’3mh for chatter baits and crank baits
