I was going to build a pistol grip rod using an old handle. Still might


On the old pistol grip rods, the handle separated from the blanks, so you could change rods but use the same handle.

Just bringing this thread to closure. The little supertuned Abu throws like a champ on the IMX 721. I was able to pick up a mint SPR for my Otterrod, and it matches up perfectly. My lightweight division is set! Thank you for the ideas and feedback.
