I would love to own a CT SV but I fish a ball head jig in 1/4 ounce with a 4in easy shiner and I dont see the CT SV casting farther than my current Steez A and SV TW
Don't knock it til you you've tried it. It's the finest casting, smoothest reel I've ever tried, and I have owned a Steez A and currently own 2 Steez SV TW.
Took my ct sv out today for the first time. And honestly, best casting reel ive ever used. Ive got the 6.3:1 and its smoother than my conquests. just an incredible reel

Got the reel in the mail today. First impression is this is the finest reel Daiwa has made. I didn't think a reel could get smoother than a Steez SV TW, but it is. I'm going to put it on a 842 GLX and can't wait to try it out.

got mine on Saturday. My thoughts exactly, and after using it its just better. Best bait caster on the market.

I agree it’s the currently the best reel on the market for finesse. Just added a 2nd one to the collection.

Remove the oring and under it is a pin that can slide out. The pawl comes right out.
Thanks for your help.

Wow! Didn't expect it to be that simple.

What longer handles have you guys found good on the CT?

I put a 90mm Tatula handle on one, but went back to the stock handle. The longer handle felt weird to me on such a small reel.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

I put on a 85mm RCS and it feels good on the reel. Here's a 90mm RCS from a board sponsor:

They're a bargain compared to the DRT Varial handles that the swimbait guys are using. That's also a whole kit. You can find the handle by itself by searching around.

I second the 85mm daiwa handle. Put one on and feels just right on mine. Might have gone 90mm but also worried about it feeling too big as stated above. Glad I went with the 85.

I put 90mm handles on all 4 of mine. No complaints.
