BFS Calcutta Conquest - casting

Aldebaran BFS has same spool as Conquest BFS. Still new CT Steez surpassed BFS Shimano with stock spool.

I’m sure the new steez cast light baits very well but I doubt it does as well as the Shimano BFS reels, but hey I could be wrong.

Tested it myself. Same rod, same line, same lure. 2,6g crankbait. Aldebaran has all extra magnets on (too much backlash w/o those). CT 23m, BFS 21m.
Also Aldebaran was very very unstable to cast lightest lures far. Ct wasn't.

Now if only daiwa could paint and price the reel correctly it would be worth buying

That's very interesting, I'm not doubting you and I don't have the Steez CT but do have a SS Air and a Alphas Air and I can cast much further and easier with my Shimano BFS reels. I want the new Steez but have so many reels already, I do have the new Alphas CT and it definitely is a good light bait caster.

Isnt it the same spool - I mean, shouldnt the Alphas CT be just as able w light weights as the Steez CT casting-wise?

Dimensions should be same. Maybe Alphas spool is a little heavier. Mine one weights 9.4 grams acc. to my scale.

I have had issues with my ct Alphas inductor with light weights and therefore I ordered ligter RCSB spool to it. And hoping that this spool is equiped with working sv inductor.

Mine weighs the same 9.4 but I have never tried any really light baits with it. Maybe I will give it a go
