Excellent suggestions all around. I am really liking the Nories and EG suggestions (always been partial to EG) based on what I've read so far. Will let ya know which rod makes the cut!

For my two cents would suggest a MB rod in the EMTF/Javelin range, I use it for football heads deep, lipless cranks, open water spinnerbaits for smallies, very versatile rods.
