The TUCR rods are nice, I have fusion its the bees knees.
St Croix has some pretty sweet ice rods, I did the tour recently and was very impressed with their new Croix Custom Ice lineup. If I was going for another high end ice rod, that would be it.
I got a couple of St Croix Custom Ice rods and a black ice which has the best spring bobber I have ever used.
I have black ice as well, but I got the medium I wish I would have went med light, it has a lot of backbone …the spring bobber is the only thing that bends on that rod!

I have a medium avid ice that is the same way, super stiff rod.
I don't even know what to use it for...
I want a ML black ice also.

I use my steez a tw on a MH Jason Mitchell casting ice rod for walleye and northern tip up fishing. I also ordered an aldeberan bfs xg and fenwick medium action casting ice rod for perch and walleye jigging. Should be a fun season!

Really, a steez and an alde on a tip up..I'd be afraid that they would go down the hole!

Nice, I've been thinking about getting a Aldeberan for that same reason.

Yah I am lol! I leave the spool free and adjust the tension knob tighter so it wont backlash if a fish pulls it. I put it in my field of view so if the flag goes up I can get to it fast.
The aldebaran will not be a tip up but an active jigging rod.

I'm excited. I love the lightness of a 1to1 reel on an ice rod but I hate the gear ratio and lack of drag. The aldeberan should fix this. I'm going to spool her up with some 8lb jbraid x8 grand.
