That might be a typo on the website. The 7'5 Medium is rated for 1/4-1oz too. I have the MH and it's rated to 2oz.BassKat wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2020 6:03 pmI'm considering the 2020 7'1" Heavy Fast and would appreciate some input if someone has this stick or has input on my (incorrect?) reasoning. I'm looking for a rod that's "just" powerful enough for flipping the edges of heavy cover. I want to be able to turn big fish but I'm not looking for a lot of lifting power (I have a heavy flipping set up). Basically, I need more than a medium-heavy but want the rod more to the lighter side of the heavy spectrum. When I saw that this rod was rated for up to 1oz lures (which will cover 3/4oz jigs with many trailers), I thought that boded well for the rod not being too heavy. Then, I saw where the rods minimum line weight is 14lbs. That heavy of a bottom-end line rating would seem to indicate that this stick is more of a true heavy. In my mind, it being rated for just 1oz lures indicates that it's fairly thin-tipped and will give under load enough to provide shock absorption for lighter lines (at least 12 if not 10lbs). Am I thinking about that correlation correctly or am I off somewhere?

Re: Olympic Vigore
Thanks a lot. Yep, it's unlikely it would have the same lure rating as the medium. If anyone has pulled the trigger on the heavy, please post the proper specs and your thoughts. Thanks!

Re: Olympic Vigore
Hi guys,
I just bought the Vigore 20 GVIGS742 and waouh what an amazing rod!
Compared to the 792M which also has an RF action on paper, I would say that the 742 looks more like a F action than a RF.
I was pleasantly surprised to see Handmade in Japan written on the blank. The rod is thinner, more sensitive and more powerful than the previous series. A great job on the blank has been done and thanks to Tz guides.
I am also interested in the 71H model and I hesitate with the 72H from the previous series. I wonder if it could cover the same casting range for heavy bottom contact. This would correspond to the TRig of 3 / 4oz + 4 or 5 inch trailer in the US.
Thanks for your feedback
