That 71 heavy! Very very nice. Has anyone handled or fished a Vigore before?

I so wish that Olympic would make their high end blanks available for purchase. Doesn't get much better. They know how to develop and roll a blank. I really wish more overseas rod companies used Olympic blanks. I know Evergreen does. Do you know if anyone else does?

I've owned and used a wide range of Olympic-made rods (Graphiteleader & Evergreen), without exception great rods with flawless builds. For the money, the Vigore can't be beaten.

Really cool. That is the second video I have seen of rods being built in Japan where they install the reel seat and handle after the guides are in place, Not bad or good just different than I was taught. I have an Olympic and it is a great rod.

That 7'6" MH looks like it might make a perfect jig rod. Loving the ECS reel seat and full cork handle.

Looks like they use a different style Torzite guide on the 7'5" M and the 7'6" MH than the traditional style that is used on 7'1" H model from the pics on their website. Is anyone familiar with what looks almost like a reverse style guide and know why they chose to do that?

Also, any idea on when these will be made available??

Why do these rods seem to be priced significantly better (lower) than seeming competitors in the same class of rod materials?

Awesome Rods. I can see a H model in my future. Nobody else is using some of these materials that go into these blanks yet. They look super impressive. Good luck getting a blank with T1100g and nanoplus for the price these are rolling out at anywhere else. Believe me I own almost all the brands using these materials and anything equivalent will easily be close to the $650+ price tag while these should be mid $400s. Even with import fees and shipping these will still be worth the value.

100%! correct. Evergreen blank tech for 30% off...

Is anyone able to comment on the action/power of these blanks compared to their American counterparts? Like I stated in a prior post I'm interested in the 7'6" MH but this would be my first JDM rod and I'm not exactly sure how I should be reading the specs/ratings. Thanks.

These are just on the market, so they are in few if any hands. Here is another tid bit of an article. You can see design elements that align with the Evergreen Rods.

Thanks for the link. These rods look great in the pics. I may have to pick up the 7'6" once available and then determine what it will be most appropriate for.

I hope the 6'10 model comes to fruition, and it has the full length grip.

Still seems too good to be true given the cost of components factored in, Ti/TZ are extremely expensive guides plus obviously the nano T1100G blanks. Certainly look legit on paper tho! Be great to see some real world TT feedback come in on these once they’re in more hands. 71H casting and 742 spinning are what I’ve got my eye on first.

The 71H weight/length is interestingly similar to the EG Super Stallion but with the Quattro only to the first guide. Ratings aren’t apples to apples though based on EG usually rating way too high.

We're paying a lot of money for fancy wraps and blingy trim components. Olympic has always kept it pretty simple.
