I placed a Hedgehog order last night (I paid dearly for shipping) and they're using Yamato Transport instead of Japan Post. Anyone else place an order with them recently? How long did it take?
I got an order from Hedgehog and one from Japan Tackle. I got notices from Japan Post that they had the shipments at the airport, both on 4/14. Still no word on them.

How is the shipping to the US right now? Anyone from us getting stuff from Digitaka or Japan Lure shop? I was thinking of buying a reel?

Are you from the US? I was thinking of buying a reel from either Digitaka or Japan lure shop.

I got a reel shipped into the US last week from Japan. Shipped via fedex and arrived quick as usual.

Yes I'm in the US. Fed Ex and DHL seem like they are doing OK. All my stuff hit at the exact wrong time. It seems that Japan Post shut almost completely down. Unfortunately, they did that right after they took possession of my shipments. Opt for the more expensive Fed X, and from what I hear, you should be OK.

Ordered from Samurai Friday Night (UPS).Will be at my door in Georgia tomorrow. Still no movement from Apr 14 EMS order. Japan Post website says shipments that were accepted before the US Stop-Shipment can take up to 4 months to ship out...

Don't know the validity, but saw the same thing on IG that Japan Post and EMS is opening back up but it could take up to four months to get caught up

Why would it take Japan EMS 4 months to process approximately 6 weeks of backlog? Something doesn't sound right at all.

On the bright side, it’s great to see all of the “In Stock” status of all the baits, rods, reels, apparel, etc., etc., :big grin:

Lots of reasons. They are still getting new orders so they have to work through 6 weeks of packages while still receiving incoming orders at or above the previous normal rate. They are probably short staffed too due to COVID concerns (social distancing and all).

My understanding is the flight has been down by more than 95% which will take much longer to process backlogged packages.
