Just a little something. I use this set up for smaller bigbaits. Good setup for hitting the bank and you only want 1 rod that can be used for multiple things.

Rod: Megabass Orochix4 Destruction
Reel: Megabass Lin Black Jungle with a 95mm Drt Varial handle
Lure: Jackall Gantarel jr.

I don't really fish swimbaits over 2oz.

My combo is
Megabass XXX Destruction
Daiwa Zillion 50th

I mainly fish Swaiver 168's on this setup.

I picked up a Dobyns 795SB a couple years back and threw mostly 7" shine glides. I don't fish bigger swimbaits much these days, as most of my fishing is done from the bank in areas that are prone to hanging up. I don't like when I lose a $7 crankbait, I sure as hell wouldn't like losing a $25 swimbait, lol. I started throwing them on a CVZ 253 with 120mm handle. I've sold that and now have a TDZ BBS or Tatula TWS Coastal that will pull those duties.

I know some of you west coast guys are going to say, that's not a big bait! :D I throw lighter texas rigged soft swimbaits into FL grass like the texas rigged shad pictured because my waters are shallow and grassy. The Tulala monstruo 74 has enough tip to launch these baits, but 'morethan' enough power drive an owner beast home. It's rated up to 2oz and I've pushed that to around 2.5 with a hard swimbait with no issue.

Very nice! Here's my weapon of choice for swimbaits in that 2-8oz range.

Rod: Deps Huge Custom
Reel: Megabass Lin Origin 10 with the Drt 95mm Handle
Lure: Drt Tiny Klash

Nice mb wp. Does that originally come cork grips? Mine has eva grips. I personally prefer cork.

Tulala rods are good! I know you spent some $$$ for that.

DRT USA website. I was actually able to get a DRT product msrp. They show up in the accessories section and sell out in about a day. I kept checking the site incessantly after I noticed that until I got one. They are an awesome product. Good luck.

I would keep an eye out on the DRT USA site, they have WCZ knobs coming out and I would expect some handles in the mix (maybe this Friday).

A lot of Japanese sites have been putting up handles recently up 117mm. I got one the last time they dropped for my boy since he wanted a second on DRT USA. I wasn't on the 200 dollar handle train then....but I may now be interested
I really want a ghost since I was able to obtain the other models from various sites and friends.

Do you always use braid? What type of braid and what strength is it??
Been wondering if I should make the switch from 20# Big Game to braid for TKs and others???

I’m still fascinated by the whole DRT handle fad, buy a Livre! Don’t think I will ever understand ppl paying more than the reels cost for certain handles. But more power to the DRT marketing, they are brilliant, and I totally respect them for that.

Current favorite Swimbait rods:
Evergreen Grand Stallion GTX - anything under 6oz
Poison Glorious 76XXH - mostly glides 3-8 oz
Custom NRX916 Build - mostly jighook baits
Dobyns 908 - Anything over 8 oz

Typical reels are Conquest 200DC or 100 and lines are:
50# Sunline FX2
80# Sunline FX2
25# Sunline Structure FC
20# Seaguar R18 Hard
