I'm using the 76rf. Thinking about getting another rod though. Something that would be better at tossing 8oz baits and higher.
The 76RF is my favourite. Both of the H3S can go up to 10oz. but at some point becomes a risky game.
I do have the Strong Mind that can cast up to 2Kg (70oz.). I have casted the Savage Heart Trout weighting at 24oz but is hard on you.
On the contrary, 12oz on the Strong Mind is surprisingly easy.
I tossed the balam 300 which is 6oz on the huge custom and it'll toss it but it wasn't as comfortable tossing on my friends drt/tulala andre. The andre rod made tossing the balam feel like I was tossing a 2oz bait.
The Huge Custom has a taper that is very particular. I like it and found it to be very efficient both in casting(depending on your casting stroke) and keeping fish hooked.
With that said, I can understand your preference for any other rod. The HC tip seems to feel stressed at 4oz and feels the same with 8oz and still casts 10oz or 1oz. Weird indeed.
Also, if you are doing a lot of open water and long casting, for sure there are better options out there.
If you are fishing docks or very close to steep walls or any other structure/cover that needs precise placement of the lure... the HC in my opinion is hard to beat.
Oh I love my HC. I use it in open water and tight places. I just want another rod for magnum type baits. Have you tried out any of the new swimbait rods from deps?

Here's one of swimbait reels, I suppose the Livre handle makes it eligible for Enthusiast status, otherwise it's just your typical mundane Tranx unworthy to be seen in this particular forum.
What baits are you using your casino for?

Here are some baits I've thrown with it. For larger baits I have an MB Onager/Tranx 400 and Dobyns 908/CNQ 400A for even larger baits.

I don't know how old this is but I think it's newer than the huge custom. Check out the sidewinder the strong mind. Lure max 2kg!

I guess the Gain Element is the newer series and I have no experience at all with it.
If I remember correctly, my first Huge Custom was bought in 2009-2010 so I would say they were released 1 or 2 years prior.
Concerning the Strong Mind, I have pulled the trigger on one 3 years ago and I can tell you, its for strong minded people only

Sounds like my type of rod.I just catch 1 fish on a tx rig, jig, or neko rig then I literally fish a bigbait all day long until I get bit or don't...I'm hard headed like that. Lol

Hi Sirs;

In order to throw hard swimbaits max 3oz in a EG Gran Cobra RS (142gr rod) which reel would you recomend to me ?

I prefer low profile reels...

Mi options are:

Z2020
Anatares DC MD
New Ryoga.

Which one of them do you think would do better?

Thanks a lot
Regards

I also have that wonderful rod. You should love it. If I could choose between those three to strap into it, I’d be all over that Mad Dog antares. That would be a killer combo. It checks your low profile box too and I suspect it would be wonderful with big hard baits.

Either the z2020 or antares for lol profile reels. Up to ywhich you like better really. I'd prefer the z for me just because I like daiwa and I think the z looks better.

To be honest I like so much sthetics in Z2020 but to be a low profile reel its too much bulky and heavy so taking into account that rod is only 142gr maybe antares MD would fit better...

Here are two of mine, but these days I'm only using iRods. No bling factor for swimbait rods as I'll break too many trying to flip dd's.

Onager with 300TE
iRod 804 Bailey Swim (custom handle) with 300E. There's an 8" Hudd in the mouth of that bass btw.
