Knobs for spinning reels

Post by zelmo » Sat Mar 13, 2021 8:31 am

In another thread I asked about handles for a Certate. Looks like I am going to order a RCS handle and I need to decide what knob to put on it.

There are T shapes, I shapes, and round. They come in wood, cork, rubber and metal. There are solid and skeleton. Most of my reels are baitcasters so I don't have much experience with spinning reels.

What would you put on a 2000 size reel and why?

For me, I wouldn’t put a T on a 2000 size reel. I have round cork and several different I knobs that I like on my smaller reels. I like the cork when wading, as it gives me a little more feel if it gets wet. It’s going to boil down to what is more comfortable to you.
