The SIC guide train could play a role in that.
Jackall Revoltage
Re: Jackall Revoltage
Any idea who makes blanks for Jackall?

Re: Jackall Revoltage
That was my first thought. Seems it would undercut Shimano's own offerings, given the price point and materials. Of course, I don't know how much M40X and T1100G actually goes into these rods.
Re: Jackall Revoltage
The 7'3"H Revoltage weighs the same as the 7'2" Ultima @ 120 grams. Pretty impressive. It is hard to understand the differences in the blanks of the Ultima/glorious/revoltage when they all claim 1100g/m40.
Re: Jackall Revoltage
The new Revoltage use least amount 1100/M40 and it is made in China. The rods about 2xxxx yens cheaper than Glorious. I expect it is better than Expride with better blank.

Re: Jackall Revoltage
I found one that I'd like to add to my next rod order from Haven....the 7'8"ML+ (1/8-5/8oz) 107.8g's.

Re: Jackall Revoltage
Received my 73H the other day as I was looking for a frog rod/pitching stick, and my initial thoughts are that Jackall has created a winner, especially for the price. Feels very nice and light in hand, balances well (about an inch in front of the lock nut with a Met 20), and sensitivity is better than expected from what I can tell in my garage fishing (pitching and dragging a casting weight). Build quality is spot on, with nice details throughout. Guides towards the tip are almost micro but not quite. I like that the reel seat seems to be painted a satin/matte black and not rubber coated since those get gummy. The one thing I don't like is the lock nut, it has a raised, knurled/textured ring with a pretty sharp edge that can be annoying depending on how you grip your rod/reel and place your fingers, but the nice thing is since it splits at the handle, you can swap it out which is what I plan to do. I can report back once I get it on the water and can give a better assessment but I am very impressed so far.

Re: Jackall Revoltage
Is JDM Tackle Heaven the only vendor that would carry the current Revoltage?

Re: Jackall Revoltage
Tackle Haven seems to be the only place to get many of the JDM rods. With $100 shipping, I just wait until I can buy a minimum of two models. I've thought about emailing JLS to see if he is getting them in.
