My favorite daiwa reel. Hopefully its made in japan but more affordable than the 23 airity. Also hoping its not just black and silver. The color of the older certate looks great.

I don't care what color it is, as long as it's an aluminum version of the current US Exist G LT, I'm in!

I thought thats what the new airity is? Or is the airity its completely own reel this time around? I know the previous model was identical to the old exist except with a spool support bushing instead of bearing.

Airity has a magnesium frame like the Exist, Certate is aluminum.

I am curious to see where the price of this new Certate falls. I was scared to order another Stradic FM due to one having issues, might either wait for the next Vanford iteration or just get this Certate.

Both promo videos show it being used in the salt. Kind of worried its more of a new version of the certate SW and not the regular certate. Probably magsealed.

Plat has them up for preorder.

looks like the 2000 size is back, and they added the FC models that are available in other lines. Airdrive stuff, etc. Maybe sooner elsewhere, but February availability. 55600 yen is the msrp, 50040 yen preorder price for the FC LT2500S, $390 msrp, $350 preorder price, not bad IMO. also just looked, digitaka has them for preorder as well, for 48900 yen, $342.50 current exchange rate for the FC LT2500s.

Can somebody provide a refresher on FC vs LT models? "Finesse Custom" vs "Light (and) Tough".

Is it true that I want a 2500 LT model for a M or MH (finesse) jig rod, not an FC one?
(But would go for FC if I wanted a 2000 model for a finesse - dropshot etc. - rod?)

I'm struggling to see what's new? Sealed handle and bail roller?

Yeah I don't see much change either.

I think it’s mostly adding the new air rotor and reintroducing the 2000 size reels back to the Certate lineup. Other than that probably mostly just marketing. It is considerably lighter than the previous generation of 16 2000 size models. Not sure on the lt2500 though.
