I was eyeing that rod at Japan Lure Shop for a while. My wife and wallet thank you for your purchase. Congrats she's a beauty!

Tried the ultima 7'2. Love it so bought another. Then tried a glorious biwako special and it is awesome. So when I found an Adrena 7'6 at boat show for 280.00 I jumped on it. These rods are pushing my evergreen and MB rods for favorites. Yours looks great.

Thanks, i really want the 6'6m but after pricing it out with shipping and custom fees its just not going to happen for me.

I went to the fishing show yesterday and got to handle a few of the rods i had in mind.

6'6 & 6'10 medium expride - Very nice
6'6 & 6'10 medium adrena - Very nice
802 & 803 Nrx - They were alright, didnt wow me...
edge rods - didnt care for them

No one local carries the 13 rods. Finally got to feel the omen and envy. Was pleasantly surprised how good the omen felt in hand for $100. Same with Zodias. Really nice for the money. On a tighter budget id definitely fish either one.

So its either exprides, adrenas, or K2 if i can swing it. That means i'll have to sell my beloved cumulus and 1st gen cumaras :crying:

Honestly, bryan (love2grabbass) gave the best description of the ultima in his thread when he got his. Thats what pretty sold me on it.

When i handled the exprides and adrenas, i said hmm these are nice but they didnt wow me. When my first glorious came in i was impressed. After fishing with it i knew i had to have the ultima.

The blank, titanium sic micro guides, carbon butt, awesome reelseat, the whole package is amazing. Throwing an 1/8oz keitech jig effortlessly, most sensitive rod ive used.

Best way i can describe the Ultima, more sensitive then an nrx and style that only evergreen/megabass can compete with :big grin:

Matt dont forget, your model Ultima has the Torzite top guide also for whatever its worth! My opinion, that is the best looking bfs combo ive seen! I can only imagine how it fishes...

Thanks a lot. This is the first week of 50 degree weather, just got back after an hour of fishing the river with it. Its just a really really fun setup. You know its light when you grab the glorious/core combo and say wow this is heavy, lol :)
