cool. would love to hear more re freshwater fishing in africa. i have always believed that that is the most untaped fishery in the world for sportfishing. africa is the classic hunting ground and gets some saltwatere notice, but nothing about freshwater. i read an article back in the 60s re catching nile perch on grouper tackle and have sense been facinates with the subject.

thanks for your comments , bass fishing in south africa is one of the fastest growing sports . we select out top angler from a national competition and that angler competes in the USA confederation series . most recently Anre de Villiers who actually won the confederation series and qualified to fish in the bassmaster classic . He is one hell of an angler
.the current south african record for a largemouth bass is 6.29kg

There are a number of diff. species caught here, as robass said Bass fishing is really becoming popular but Carp and Yellowfish are also very popular as well, also tigerfish but they more in northen South Africa, Zimbabwe and the Okavango, checkout this site to get an idea : http://www.anglerspassport.com/africa/namibia.htm

Very nice Bass CGB! I love hearing from y'all and seeing your pics.

I just wish I had some pics of our Rhodesian Ridgeback, Suede to show y'all. He was a great hound but he passed years ago.
