7 lber - personal best

Post by Loudmouthbass » Sun Aug 06, 2006 7:16 pm

Went out on the boat this saturday around 7:30am. Hooked a nice 4 lber then a few 2 lbers. Unfortunately I did not have the camera for these bass. Around 9:15 I hooked into this 7 lber. Caught em' on a 1/4oz black/blue jig. I called my dad at the house and he brought the camera.

Enjoy

I have a question though. When you don't release a bass where you caught it does it go back to that area or does it just hang around where you let it go?

Thats a good question, and I don't have the answer but I did watch a program where they tracked some bass with radio transmitters. some stayed in the same area where they were released and didn't travel far from that spot but others traveled all the way across the lake.

It really all depends on feeding habits and what time of year. THis time of year they seem to be moving alot from shallow to deeper water all day long. I went out yesterday and caught them all shallow.

How long was the fight? I've always wanted to fish for those largemouths but there's none to be found in where i live. Some day, maybe... Good work there young man!
