Great pics, that sure is beautiful country. Where were you fishing?
Re: Here's the catch -5-
Yep, it's a Winston Boron IIx 490-4... the sweetest trout rod I've ever fished... and I owned and fished quite a lot of hi-end rods... from GLX, IMX to Sage SP, XP, Scott's Eclipse, T&T Vector etc.SenkoSnack808 wrote:Hey is that a winston?

That was a big lake up in the Fagaras mountains... it doesn't have too much of large trout, but the scenery is breathtakingTOPWATER wrote:Great pics, that sure is beautiful country. Where were you fishing?
Re: Here's the catch -5-
that winston boron IIx is no doubt the best fly-rod i've ever fished....amazing...i only hope some of that technology, ie the boron blank will trickle down into bass rods...besides that stupid browning one thats not that good...

Multumesc nea Jeane! Facem si noi ce putem
Hey Stevo - I completely agree with you about the BIIX. An incredible mix of finesse and casting power...
Topwater - the scenery is even more breathtaking after you have to reach the water level 150-200 meter down from the road... and especially after you have to climb up again, to get back to the car
