Yep, it's a Winston Boron IIx 490-4... the sweetest trout rod I've ever fished... and I owned and fished quite a lot of hi-end rods... from GLX, IMX to Sage SP, XP, Scott's Eclipse, T&T Vector etc.

That was a big lake up in the Fagaras mountains... it doesn't have too much of large trout, but the scenery is breathtaking :)

that winston boron IIx is no doubt the best fly-rod i've ever fished....amazing...i only hope some of that technology, ie the boron blank will trickle down into bass rods...besides that stupid browning one thats not that good...

Hey Stevo - I completely agree with you about the BIIX. An incredible mix of finesse and casting power...

Topwater - the scenery is even more breathtaking after you have to reach the water level 150-200 meter down from the road... and especially after you have to climb up again, to get back to the car :)
