9/4/06--A few from the swamp pond and a PFA

Post by Lightninrod » Mon Sep 04, 2006 12:36 pm

Bright, sunny with almost no clouds, hot(mid 90s-water @ 84 degrees), muddy and no wind at the swamp pond today.

Caught 7 or 8 with pics of four plus one from yesterday at the Dodge County PFA:

Zoom Speed Worm-T-rigged

Cr/bait shallow

Same
t-rigged GY Grub Bass

Pitched GY's 8" Grub--gut-hooked

Gut-hooked Senko

Matt's Baby Bass

nice fish Dan :D It has really cooled off here...highs only in the lower to mid 70's for the last week or so, but the fish haven't really liked it.

Thanks guys. :)

mrBayer: Welcome to T3. It's a Megabass Elseil rod:

Image

F4-610XDti Elseil (Regular, 1/4-3/4 oz., 8-20 lbs.)

Skeet: That's my MB Shiryu and Ito with a cr/bait attached. The Elseil is matched with my yellow Custom TD-Z and the gut-hooked Senko Bass was caught on my MB Diablo and the metallic red Custom

TW: That swimbait is available here and is responsable for my my PB, a 9 lber. I showed that pic(in the above post) to let the tourny guys know it will catch keepers too ;).

Whats the Diff between the F4-68X Jabberwock (Regular, ¼-3/4 oz., 8-20 lbs.) and your Elseil? Very nice setups by the way.

- different length
- different blank & blank technology
- different detailing
- way different price
- different line

I have the F4-68X Jabberwock and it's a fantastic rod, but mainly for use in conjunction with hard baits 8-) 8-) :D :D

I predominantly use the rod for Megabass Live-X, Vision 110, Leviathan, Cyclone, Jackall Arragon's and Mann's Midi 1-Minus lures.

Im am going to have to break down and try one of those swimbates. Can you find them in a smaller size?

TW: They are only 5 inches in length and weigh only 1.3 ounces 8-) . They are some of the smallest baits that can be called a "swimbait". That's only a 2 lb Bass in that pic that hit that Baby Bass but a 9 lber also hit one and became my current PB. :D .
