My brand new Antares DC

Post by AndZ » Thu Sep 14, 2006 7:28 am

It's heeree! The reel was very nice wrapped by Mr. Ogawa from Plat Japan to ensure trouble-free transportation :)... As said before, the perfect reel from the perfect shop in Japan! Actually, the best online shop in the world, IMHO :) Mr. & Mrs. Ogawa and Mr. Harada are really great people! The best I've had the honor to deal with :)

The reel is in perfect condition, everything works smooth... but I didn't have the time to test it's DC ability on the water yet... Maybe during this weekend! I really can't wait to see how this baby performs! And who knows... if I like it so much, there might be another one coming my way in the near future :):)...

:):):) I've got two more Antares (the older ones) and I got used to that :)... Believe me, you'll get used with that in no time :)... This reels is sweet! I didn't even have the time to test fish it (I want to put it against some really big pike) and I'm already considering another one...

AndZ,

great addition to the collection. :!: I'm wanting to get one, but am waiting to see how they hold up in saltwater. Thanks for the photos.

very nice reel! wished i had the chance of hooking on large fishes on weekends. thought of getting one DC, but for the size of fishes that i'm catching now, my pixy is kind of overkill

Yeah it is... it's a very pricey, shiny piece of metal :) but since I've got it from PLAT, its price was more acceptable than the U.S. version... It's almost $150 off, which is something...

If you've seen my previous catches, we've got some serious toothy critters around here... and most of them are well into double figures poundage.
