I traded my full size chevy in and it doesn't even come close to comparing. I'll never buy another GMAC product again. I let me friend drive my toyota and the next day he went and traded his Dodge hemi for a tundra. He just purchased an add on after market kit that will increase gas millage by 30-40%. I'm letting him field test it before I put it on. Supposedly it pumps platinum or something into the vacuum lines whichs causes the better gas mileage. I'll update when he tests it.
I only have 200 miles on it right now. But the onboard computer tells me that I am getting almost 17 MPG while driving around town. That is what I used to get highway with my Dodge. When I tied the boat to it, it dropped down to around 15 MPG. The Tundra tows as well as the Dodge, I had no noticeable difference. My Ram had a 5.9L engine.

Now is the time to act. Toyota is trying hard to sell their remaining 2007s and with buying this at the end of the month they were willing to deal.

I also got them to throw in a backup camera and monitor. The eye of the camera is mounted in the tailgate. This will have obvious advantages. It is on order and it should be here in a couple of days. They threw this in on the deal as I was talking about a Tundra that had one at a different dealer. They did not want me to leave so they gave it to me for free ($775 if you buy it).

Marc, if you are in the market, go test drive one of these. I did a lot of homework before I decided on this truck. If you have any other specific questions, I will be glad to let you know what I learned.

That is a sexxxxxy truck. I think Toyota did a great job of improving on almost everything, engine, looks, size. That new 5.7 is a monster. its a big freakin truck. Is it the TRD package?

the boat/truck color match was totally by accident, right? :D

Damn! That's a sweet ride! I gotta trade my 2000 Tundra in for a new one. Your 15MPG when towing is really good compared to my 8MPG or so when I tow, and my Whaler is probably lighter than your boat. ](*,)

Not the TRD package. Toyota is really proud of that. The TRD runs about 45K.

I love that truck, my friend just got one with the TRD pachage.

Love that the color matches the boat!

The only problem with these after market mileage boosters is that the platimum starts to get prohibitively expensive after a while, it's got a cummulative effect.

After getting to drive it for awhile and tow with it. It is very smooth. Of course I am comparing to a 98 Dodge (event that was still a very smooth ride), but this is like driving a Cadillac.

Agree Ford's F-150 is much improved...

But let's not open up a can on the Ford acronyms...could get ugly. ;)

Assuming it's not a custom paint job, looks like a good match for your boat. :D
