#1 favorite combo pics

Post by cjtoad » Wed Aug 17, 2011 1:48 am

I want to see some of everybody's favorite rod, reel and lure combos to fish with. Not your fanciest or most exotic (unless it's your #1 girl) just the combo you reach for the when the fish are on and enjoy fishing with the most. This is my favorite.

Lefty steez 103 with zpi spool. Rod was made by yours truly as simple and light as I possibly could. It's a hm mhx844 with micros (of course) and a split ecs Fuji seat. Weighs 3.1 ounces. Pitches and skips fantastic!

Its a Savvy 735, spooled with 50lb power pro braid for frogging..
It more than proved it self last weekend, during my tourney when I caught a bunch of 4-5lb fish in the slop up north.. =D> I muscled the heck out of the fish and it didnt flinch..

crappy picture...but its a clip from a video...

Shimano Calcutta 50 TE GT w/ cork knobs on a 5'6" G Loomis Mossy-back MH w/ 10 lb Tatsu Flouro

its super fun throwing senkos and jigs under trees and bridges in the kayak with this thing...although its really hard for me to pick one favorite...this one is probably the most fun to use. :big grin:
