Kinda like liquid metal or mercury.
Looks good :D . Try taking a photo outside in the shade.

I'll try that and see if I can get better results.

I personally like the this look quite a bit.

Does it tarnish with sweat/saltwater like a polished Alphas ito?

No tarnish from sweat, lotion or sunscreen...I haven't fished SW in years so I don't know. My guess is "no", as this polishing doesn't really strip the aluminum totally bare/raw, if you will.

Wow.... How long did that take you? That is quite impressive dragon1. I also like it better that way. Not that I could afford such things.

The cover is plastic...but trust me when I say it is only there for a cover. This reel is VERY SOLID in all respects. Here is a link to my initial review of it: http://forums.tackletour.com/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=32066

So far as time...I did it throughout a day or so and kept at the next day. A few hours at best and I think I will work on it some more this winter to get a smoother/more liquid look.

BTW, this reel is not as blinding on a sunny day as some other reels that have more chrome or even gold colors in them...Calais, Calcuttas, CVZs, etc.
