Fishing for panfish yesterday I think this guy was in hiding ready to ambush the school of panfish we were sight fishing for and instead of hitting a pumpkinseed she hit my lure. These are OOS right now but I had to get 2 pictures and then release her, she was out of the water for about 1 minute. Caught using a Powell 684cb with a Curado 50, 6# mono and a tiny Bomber Square A.

This was the targeted species. Nothing too exciting but still fun! Just nice to be out casting.

Shark fishing has been off the hook lately. Not a big one, but here's a decent one:

Yea, it would be awesome in a huge tank. The smaller ones would be nice in a tank that would actually fit my room though lol. Decided to keep this guy. We released many others on this day though. Shark meat is pretty good, you just have to bleed it and gut it right away. After you skin it, it's just pure meat.

No big fish pictures yet this season. Here is a couple shots after a decent day going after Northerns last summer.

Left to Right: 34" 8lb 3oz, 36" 10lb 10oz, and 43" 15lb 4oz.

The largest of the three on the fillet station....

Some of the finest eating fillets you'll encounter (after skinned of course :D )

Caught this yesterday on the Sacramento River. 33" but nearly took my rod in the river. Got a nice fight from her.

I caught a couple small northerns on opener but the real stars are the fish I wasn't even fishing for.

Kids learning to sight fish. My younger son thinks he is pretty cool wearing a pair of his Dad's Polarized Sunglasses. What a goof! They are good fishing buddies. Older brother has "accidentally" fallen in ponds a couple of times. He thinks he's a fish.
