My Newest Precious
With an eye to the summer, and fishing the streams for trout, perch and chub I decided I needed a new u/l rod. After looking around on the web I found one that appeared to meet all my reqiurements, those being a length of 7' - 7'6", max casting weight of 1/8oz, fast action and not too boring to look at. The rod in question is a Hart Night Ranger Evo. It's a 7'3" LRF rod, fast actioned, with a max casting weight of 1/8oz, so all those boxes are ticked. Guides are Fuji Concept Alconites and the reel seat is also Fuji. On looks I'll let you decide.

Will prbably run it with a Twinpower Mg 1000 PGSDH, but will check out the Fuego. I doubt that I'll use the rod 'til at least April, when the trout season opens on my local streams. Will post pics as and when I catch.vArm wrote:Really beautiful! Please keep this topic updated with pics of fish caught using it.

Yesterday I bought a new reel to go with the rod, a Shimano Stradic FI 2500. I work in the trade and received a sale bonus from my employer, with my staff discount I got the reel for a song.

Loaded up both spools today, one with my employers 5lb flourocarbon and the other with 6lb TufLine Duracast. Not used anything but braid for the last 13 years, so the flouro will be a new expereience.Gone Phishin wrote:Good work.
