Sub 2oz, Booyah.
Here are a few pic's of my latest baby, a 6' UL spinning stick. The main use will be with inline spinners and cranks, Snap Beans and Rebel J49's etc. It's built on an Orvis Helios Ion 2wt blank, stripped back to matt carbon. Guides are a combnation of Fuji TATSG's and micros, thread wraps are Gudebrod 257 Rust accented in black. The weight comes in at exactly 49g or 1.75oz .
A tribute to it's parentage

Hopefully a lot of trout will fall to the rod, but alas, no redfin in England. My reel of choice is a Shimano Twinpower Mg 1000PGSDH.Ranger 619VS wrote:Skinhead,

Ah, the penny drops. We call them stripeys or sometimes sergeant major fish. We have those aplenty. My best yet sits at 5lb 6oz, so I live in hope. Our natve roach and chub also have red fins.Ranger 619VS wrote:Skinhead,

You should pair it with the new Exist at 5.46oz (155g) and have a combo under 8oz

Re: Sub 2oz, Booyah.
Definately food for thought. With the Twinpower it scales 8.5oz, which is no slouch.Katron wrote:You should pair it with the new Exist at 5.46oz (155g) and have a combo under 8oz

Re: Sub 2oz, Booyah.
I've now changed that as it was a bit too tight on the reel foot. The composite cork is now black deerskin .ipoppa33 wrote:Nice job, really like the reel seat in the grip.
