I barely had time to fish with it in the yard, let alone take it apart. Its got that mirror like finish, and in another picture I took you could clearly see myself taking the photo. Hopefully the finish will hold up!

I've had mine since launch and the finish looks like the day I got it still.

Question? I know it's 8 gear something, but are the gears brass or aluminum? I'm trying to justify getting one, but my LTD TN Steez, is fitting the light Swim Jig bill pretty good. An 8 gear burner on a NRX803 might just be calling my name!
It is both. Looks like the teeths are brass and the rest aluminum. The only shortcoming I find on it is that the drag is pretty weak. other than that it is an awesome reel.

Lawn casted. If you look close you can see the swapped spool, it's a Gigas 103 R+ I'ze Light spool. I was getting around 130ft in my yard with a 1/2oz LV-100 the other night.

Here is my Ringa, classic reel on a classic jade handle rod. Upgrades are SV spool, HH AIR bearings, PX68 brass gear set and Carbontex drag washers.

Oh my. 6.8 gear swap and everything eh? Is that an Alphas CCC? What did you use for the levelwind cap? Thats my exact plan for a SSS minues the spool, she needs to be all purple. Are you keeping the stock spool?

HH told me this fits and it does perfectly. http://www.hedgehog-studio.co.jp/product-list/217
The stock spool went into my SLC because that one doesn't have 68 gears. I did not want to change too much and decided to keep the stock star drag and stay straight handle instead of swept.

HH has the Morrum cap on their SSS in purple.
