I love this little reel! It has Sol magnetic guts in the palm plate and a Finesse Custom spool, along with a bunch of other internal and external mods. It's a pocket-rocket with a weightless 4" Yum Dinger.toddmc wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2019 7:39 amThere are so many color variations already out there with the Alphas that you really have to do something different to get noticed. Painting the frame really helps. I like the grey frame on the TDZ, but the frame on the Alphas always looks better to me when they are painted. That paint job is really nice.Winstondry wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2019 7:24 am
Thanks! I believe it's a Calfish paint job, it was also tuned and polished originally at TT before I bought it from it's previous owner. It's a really unique color as the paint can appear purlple, to blue ,to reddish depending on the angle you're looking at it from. I've since replaced the red brake knob and lock washer shown in the last 2 photos.
Here are a couple pics to show the different colors it can appear as.

Typically I love the i shape knobs the best. These knobs are super grippy though, similar sized just a little more flat. I won’t be switching all my knobs over, but on this reel I like them a lot. There are 2 sizes of these style knobs and these are the larger ones that come on the spinning reels not the ones that come stock on the newer steez.

Those larger knobs also come on the 2019 Tatula, and I like them a little better than the ones that came on my Steez SV TW. I actually put the Steez knobs on my SV105P.domthewon wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2019 7:09 pmTypically I love the i shape knobs the best. Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.
Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's
Exactly. They don’t look much larger than the steez ones side by side but make a difference in my hands.hoohoorjoo wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2019 7:13 pmThose larger knobs also come on the 2019 Tatula, and I like them a little better than the ones that came on my Steez SV TW. I think once they start making different color aftermarket end caps they will be more popular.goldrod wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2019 7:32 pmdomthewon wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2019 7:19 pmExactly. For me they're definitely not a replacement for the old school I knobs, but they are super nice and have their place. Same goes for the Zaion knobs.
This is the way.

Hog! Those are money! Reels and rods both, and knowing the workmanship on those customs that makes them all the more stellar.
Could we get a little more info the on the reels and rods?

Awesome reels! Is that a mago white noise? If you get rid of that coastal handle, let me knowHogsticker2 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 06, 2019 5:42 pmSome random pics -20191005_194607.jpg20190529_194614.jpg20190525_093500.jpg20190427_210725.jpg20191005_200220.jpg

Pic 1) Slp T3 - G1 1012SV spool, Ito carbon handle, baby blue Slp knobs, SV103 drag star
Megabass Lauda - Orange bits and spool, Alphas Type R handle, FX68 drag star
Steez SV TW - Custom paint, Blue tackle show special Slp matching knobs, Slp carbon handle, Red Zillion Type R drag star, Blue Zpi Nrc001-m spool.
Pic 3) Custom Point Blank 6'9 ml - Matagi components including green illusion reel seat. Rod pairs with the Lauda. Vinnie built it of course.
Pic 4) Alphas Air with handle (bass or die) and spool from the SV Light Limited. Kanji knobs. Rod is my Custom K2 683ml. Busted many, many smallies with this. My favorite stick.
Pic 5) Custom Point Blank 7' medium with Steez SV103. Megabass light and tough carbon handle, Purple Slp knobs, Pixy Type R drag star, and Steez limited SV105 spool.
18 Daiwa Heartland 6101 mrb. Beautiful stick. These two rods are very similar in taper and power. Both blanks have fat rear ends, but the Heartland is a little thicker throughout. Both are extremely versatile. Heartland is one of the only JDM sticks that sports a full grip. The blank is also not sanded. My pants get tighter every time I pick it up.

If your wardrobe is anything like your tackle color choices, you are a straight-up pimp! I like the original variations! I'm not a follower either.Hogsticker2 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 06, 2019 5:42 pmSome random pics -20191005_194607.jpg20190529_194614.jpg20190525_093500.jpg20190427_210725.jpg20191005_200220.jpg

Nice pairings! That green illusion reel seat looks really nice. I gotta build me a custom with a carbon handle. I keep telling myself I will but something else keeps coming along before I do.Hogsticker2 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 06, 2019 7:34 pmThanks bud.
