If your wardrobe is anything like your tackle color choices, you are a straight-up pimp! :D I like the original variations! I'm not a follower either.
Pimpology. All about that 1 of a kind 8-)

Hog! Those are money! Reels and rods both, and knowing the workmanship on those customs that makes them all the more stellar. :big grin:

Could we get a little more info the on the reels and rods?
Thanks bud. I figured someone would put me to work.
Pic 1) Slp T3 - G1 1012SV spool, Ito carbon handle, baby blue Slp knobs, SV103 drag star
Megabass Lauda - Orange bits and spool, Alphas Type R handle, FX68 drag star
Steez SV TW - Custom paint, Blue tackle show special Slp matching knobs, Slp carbon handle, Red Zillion Type R drag star, Blue Zpi Nrc001-m spool.
Pic 3) Custom Point Blank 6'9 ml - Matagi components including green illusion reel seat. Rod pairs with the Lauda. Vinnie built it of course.
Pic 4) Alphas Air with handle (bass or die) and spool from the SV Light Limited. Kanji knobs. Rod is my Custom K2 683ml. Busted many, many smallies with this. My favorite stick.
Pic 5) Custom Point Blank 7' medium with Steez SV103. Megabass light and tough carbon handle, Purple Slp knobs, Pixy Type R drag star, and Steez limited SV105 spool.
18 Daiwa Heartland 6101 mrb. Beautiful stick. These two rods are very similar in taper and power. Both blanks have fat rear ends, but the Heartland is a little thicker throughout. Both are extremely versatile. Heartland is one of the only JDM sticks that sports a full grip. The blank is also not sanded. My pants get tighter every time I pick it up.
Nice pairings! That green illusion reel seat looks really nice. I gotta build me a custom with a carbon handle. I keep telling myself I will but something else keeps coming along before I do.
With all the many different rods on the markets these days, I stick to custom. Unless there is something I feel I can't live without. With the customs and matching reel, I can't really justify selling them to acquire something else. Plus I know what I'm getting, rather than running down the buy and try road.

I hear you on all that. Once my curiosity on the next best thing, and who really makes the best of the best calms down. I foresee myself going down that path as well. I love the idea of making a rod to the exact specifications I want.

Nice.

I'll have some pics to post in a week or so that you will appreciate.

They definitely deserve more love than they get.

Right on! They are not steez but definitely solid all around performers. Plus i think they look pretty good.

I'm down with some zillion porn. Somehow I ended up with 6 new zillions in the past two months. I'm worried they are going to quit making them, and they fit my long hands the best of any daiwa frame. I'll get some pics up soon...been busy harvesting.

BTW, I didn't know they made an SLP 8.1... I almost got the 7.3, but thought, man I already have one in that ratio and I can always trick that one out, but I don't have an 8.1.

Yea this one was released 3 years ago i think? It's very nice looking if you're into the purple&black and feels great also. I don't really need an 8.1 either but hey lol

Here's a TD-S that I recently acquired from another member here (got it for spinnerbaits). I updated it a little bit. TD-Z spool, swept Zaion drag star and 100mm handle with new Steez knobs. I added a couple bearings inside, also. I know it's not the latest and greatest, but it performed flawlessly on my trip to Guntersville last week.

Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

That's awesome. Looks like Darth Vader's reel.

^^^ Thanks, I've always liked the dark gray ones a little better than the silver and pale gold-colored ones.
