Thanks man. I started out with right hand but ever since buying a leftie I won't be buying right hand again.MountainMan 83 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 13, 2020 2:12 amNice collection you got there. You like both left and right hand?breamtim wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 11:04 pmHere's my little casting crew, will post spinning another time. Cleared out a couple of others lately, and still have a few upgrades planned to these. Considering a new one too- still never owned a steez casting reel- maybe one of them? Wouldn't mind a PX-R or a few more Alphas' too.
Left to right-
TD Ito 103M. SV Spool, purple brake dial, level wind cap/screw, cast control cap, Carbontex. Need a swept handle and a new drag star.
Tatula 100XS 60th edition. Stock. Got a DIY spool coming.
Zillion HD TW- stock.
Alphas R-Edition- PXR line guide, red level wind cap/screw. Going to order an SV105 CC cap and a new drag star. Might go a pink build.
Alphas R-Edition- my favourite. Megabass Hyper Corks, SLP drag star, PXR CC cap, Rays DIY Spool, PXR line guide, and every screw/dial is red. Going to upgrade to Carbontex and upgrade bearings.
Zonda 68R- mostly stock just small screw colours changed.
I'm pretty happy with this collection since I had never modified a reel a year ago and only just starting collecting casting reels at 17!

Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's
Just finished some maintenance and figured I’d snap a pic or two of my Steez reels. 20 year anniversary of the Steez this year. I think I have them all. I guess I have to buy the Steez air too.
From left to right:
Steez CT TW: I’ve been using the stock spool with it, but also have the 30mm KTF spool for it. It also has the full KTF/IXA kit except handle it’s sporting a RCS90, KTF bearings, carbontex drag.
Steez SVTW 1016: Full KTF IXA, Neo spool, and carbontex drag upgrade.
Steez A TW: This reel is a full zpride style Steez and is utilizing the NRC PG, carbontex drag upgrade.
Steez 103sv LTD TN: Stock looking, but has a G1SVTW 1012SV spool, zpi bearings, carbontex drag, and a star drag from an SV103 I believe.
Steez LTD 105: ZPI M spool, PSD 05 star drag, ZPI handle, OG corks, ZPI bearings, and carbontex upgrade.
Steez SV: Pretty stock except upgraded spool bearings, SLP Zillion LTD handle, Studio Composite carbon knobs, SLP star drag,HH frame screws, carbontex drag upgrade.
Steez 103 SV: ZPI blue emblem spool and bearings, SLP 95 handle, OG corks, SLP star drag, handle lock, and cast control cap, carbontex drag.
Steez 103: Megabass honeycomb spool, HH air bearings frame screws, SLP handle, Star drag a other color parts, carbontex drag.
Steez 100 SHL: KTF NEO spool and bearings, SLP 95 handle, OG corks, carbontex drag upgrade. This reel took me the longest to find a clean one for sale. The palm side plate had a scratch so I got this reel for $120 and bought a new side plate now it’s minty. I now own a new palm plate for all of them and a few frames and handle plates just in case. I also own an EX, SVTW 1012, and 6.3 100 not pictured.

Dom - What are those carbon knobs on the 6:3 limited? And how about those engine plate covers?

Dom - this is just sick as heck! Great stuff dude!
Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's
They are studio composite knobs, they actually cam on an Engine brand handle. I believe the engine covers you are talking about are KTF.Hogsticker2 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 12:56 amDom - What are those carbon knobs on the 6:3 limited? And how about those engine plate covers?

Very sweet collection. Might be like picking a kid but what are your favorites and why?
Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's
I really dig the limited in light blue and with the straight handle. Very nice line up. It makes me think of preparations for a trip or tx.
Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's
Thank You! My favorite is the 103 LTD TN. I love the super car color scheme, carbon handle, 8.1 gears, bass or die knobs. It’s an iconic reel and is easily recognizable unless mistaken for a tatula ct type r. I passed on so many used ones to find one in mint condition. Part of the hunt and who I got it from makes it special. The steez 100 shl is the smoothest one I’ve got out of the box. The most comfortable palming is the CT. After doing maintenance on my Steez reels I decided to order 8.6 bronze gears for my steez A 8.1. Hopefully it’s a smooth swap. I have both reels but after taking all these reels apart and putting them back together I was like forget it just order them. If it works out that could easily become a favorite. The more than is awesome with those gears and the steez A should be no exception.
Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's
Thanks. For some reason that’s the reel all my guests on my boat want to use. For people newer to casting it’s an easy reel to pick up and bomb with little fuss with the ZPI M spool in it.
Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's
Very awesome, bet that Ltd TN looks mighty fine on a Racing Design. Yikes!
