Here's a TD-S that I recently acquired from another member here (got it for spinnerbaits). I updated it a little bit. TD-Z spool, swept Zaion drag star and 100mm handle with new Steez knobs. I added a couple bearings inside, also. I know it's not the latest and greatest, but it performed flawlessly on my trip to Guntersville last week.

That style TDS was my first higher end reel. I've always really liked them. I wish they would make a new version of that reel that was lighter and took larger gears. That general frame shape would make a great all aluminium "round reel".

All except the 5.5. I do want one, but I really don't need it.

You'll love it. Didn't you also get a PG spool? I want one of those too, in red. The blue one I gave is the M version and it's awesome. That's why I had to completely redo the color scheme for that 6.3 from gold to sky blue/Royal purple.

It's great! I intended to drop it in an OG Steez, but they just didn't want to play nice at all. I'm using it with 12# sniper on a 6'7" MH.

I had to use the thicker palm plate spacer for sale at the tackle Trap to center the spool. It probably would've been fine, but it might've wanted to stack the line on the handle side more than I would've liked.

Yeah I just picked up a PG spool. It's currently sitting in my SV 103 but I haven't had a chance to throw it yet, work has been taking up most of my time.

I'm digging your color scheme bling. I picked up a red zaion star a while back when they first came out so it will be a nice start to the 7.3 I got. What other spools have you ran in them and liked?

The 9.1 currently has an RCS 1016 from the T3 and 40# 832 and it's excellent for distance casting and pitching alike. Other than that all I've used is the stock spool which is really hard to beat for general bass fishing use. It's good for distance and great for pitching and skipping. It goes down to 3/16 no problem and works great with any line type. They're hard to backlash but don't feel overbraked to me. I have several other spools to try, and this conversation is making me want to do just that.

Yeah, that 1016 seems hard to beat in the 34mm platform with my limited spool knowledge. It will be nice to have another platform to test spools with; I'll be busy this winter for sure.

There are so many great spools for the 34mm platform. Just try them all until you find the ones that suit your taste. Bang for the buck, the Zillion SV spool, T3 1016, and Ray's/DIY spool of your choosing are tough to beat.

I love all the color variations of the zillion sv tw’s! I didn’t see a gold one in there so I’ll post mine. It’s got a steez a 90mm handle, full slp works dress up kit, slp limited event gold knobs, zpi pg spool and bearings, HH studio gold parts to round it out. It sits on my Sedition White Falcon cranking stick.
