Yes please get those Tatula knobs off that SS SV! Anything but those :crying:
I want to thank MountainMan 83 for hooking me up, makes me so happy that I was able to fix up the ole SS/SV. I agreed those knobs were atrocious, but could find them easily without dropping $40 on a handle. Now I just have to fix my two Zillion TWS and my old Type R (they aren't priority though, Tatula knobs really aren't that bad).

Dirty, I think your SS SV look great with those knobs. She’d look beautiful with a black handle to top her off.

Yeah I think about going back to a 90mm sometimes. The 90mm Steez A handle was perfect on there.

Big dumb handes reporting in. I got this blue Daiwa handle with knobs to use the blue 100mm on the PE special and big foam knobs on the Tatula. The knobs have a bit of blue on the back of them so maybe they stay with the PE special? Not sure. The reel is going on some new St Croix LTB. Either a flip chat crank or power glass cranker. Leading towards the latter because I like braid and glass for bigger cranks and long casts.

Picked this up a few years ago. Just got around to messing with it. Came with 6.8 gears and ZPI bearings. Added tapped driveshaft with clicker kit, new style drag star, Ize factory handle, and Avail knobs.

Stick an R+ spool in there with the required longer pinion shaft. It's a nice speedy pairing but not as wild as in a TD-Z or old Steez.

Don’t think I’ve tried that yet in the platform. The best spool so far has been a ZPI PG spool. Good mixture of distance and control. Most spools are pretty wild.

I picked up a CVX a while back that had an R+ spool in it but never tried it. Maybe they were on to something…

Can't decide if I go with the purple parts or stick with black. If I go purple I'll add a handle with purple knob posts and silver zaion knobs or even a purple handle.

Or this to it in purple or another color but this handle doesn't come in purple. Can't decide. :-k This bright silver and black makes things weird. ;)

I would go with the carbon fiber handle.

Added a carbon handle with purple knob shafts to the Alphas TW. I'll probably go with silver zaion knobs. Are those a good color match for the Zillion and Alphas silver? Can't remember seeing anyone run those yet

Zillion PE special with lexa handle and IP68 spool. I want a two tone silver and gold tension knob. Who sells those and what gold do I want? There are two shades from the factory and I added the darker IP68 spool. I might just leave it silver. It works with the star and face plate. I'm keeping the big dumb knobs. It's going on one of the H moving bait St Croix LTB rods.

Oh man, I’ve spent hours going through all these great posts!

I got out of the sport right about time the TDZ era began, and now I’m playing catch up. The TDZ, Zillion, and Millionaires are my favorite platforms. I’ve got quite a bit in the Alphas and Pixy side.

Some highlights:

Millionaires - including three Ringas and two Club M
Zillions - plenty of OG 7.1 and 6.3 a couple Type R, 50th, PE, HLC
TDZ - my favorites with two AOI, several R+, Ito and two PO
Pixy - SPR, Type R, Silver Mica, PX68
Alphas - KTF Neo, three Air Stream Customs
Steez - several OG, SV, etc

Lots more and LOADS of spools!

Pics soon…….this is an expensive hobby lol, but I’m having a blast.
