Paying dues...

Post by bigswaim » Wed Mar 20, 2013 4:08 pm

The last 3 or 4 months have been rough for me fishing wise, save for a Clear Lake trip when I got an 8.3 on the crank. I couldn't tell you how many fishless trips I had swinging the 250SS, 10'' Triple Trout, hudds, soaking a Dead Twitch, etc. Today the stars aligned and the bass gods picked my number. She ate a regular 250SS on a custom Phenix 800H Hybrid, Curado 300E, and 20# Invizx. New PB for me...except I can't help but think if she had eaten one more trout she woulda been a teener. By the way, this wasn't a bed fish, and was taken from a public park.

Funny how the shoulders aren't sore anymore after a catch like that! WTG!

That is an awesome Bass! Really nice colours on her too. Are those scales okay for the fish? I always wonder because I try to do my best to release the fish I catch in the best possible condition.

congrats! From shore too? The bass are really chomping on the 250ss. Do you know if the smaller version is just as good?

I bought a 175 from Butch himself, the smaller ones definitely don't glide like the 250SS. If you've got the rod to sling a 250, I'd just fish it, the drawing power is insane.
