Bass fishing superjumbo perch!!!

Post by Fishingboy » Sat Aug 24, 2013 6:19 am

Hey there guys. It's been a while since I last posted images of jumbo perch in Europe. Just been back from Hamburg, Germany and fishing there was a blast. My buddy and I dialed in some effective patterns and we caught a load of superjumbo perch. No doubt, when it comes to monster perch fishing, Germany is probably the best place there is in Western Europe \m/

One of the big mamas. I caught this one on a 4" finesse worm T-rig in deep water.

Thanks guys. Caught this big guy in water about 30' deep. The fight lasted more than a minute. It was truly awesome.

That thing is a slob. I would love to have a go at one that size on ultralight. The ones I catch (dinks by comparison) hit like trains and run deep. I can only imagine what that fight was like.

You're going to need a bigger pan.

Thanks guys. Ha... ha... you're right, I could use a big pan for this big mama. Fortunately for her, we let her go to fight another day ;)

I was fishing with 10lb Sunline Siglon 100% FC and had trouble controlling the fish near cover. It could have easily snap my line if it turned the other way. Guess I was just lucky.

The fish measured 43cm. I'd say it probably weighed in 3lb or so. Just a guess ;)

Last weekend I had the chance to catch a really good perch. The perch measured 47cm, so you see a perch can really get big. From time to time german anglers catch perch over 50 cm!

Awesome catches, guys! We have perch here, too-but I have never personally seen one over 1 lb. They are fantastic table fare!
